Best Xmas CD ever!
author: Pat Jackson
I first bought this album as a cassette over 10 years ago. I have loved it ever since and there are some songs that I can no longer sing the "traditional" lyrics: the Venus Envy versions are the only ones I know!! ;-) I have played it for many friends and they love it!
I was very excited to find the CD this year - now my poor, worn-out, much loved cassette can be retired to a place of honor.
Thank you Venus Envy and CD Baby for making 2007 a very wonderful Christmas!

I'll Be A Homo for Christmas
author: Linda Noel Schierman
I am one of the two Lindas on this wonderful CD. We wrote these songs in the middle of a hot summer in Seattle --- "The assignment, should you accept, is to rewrite two traditional Xmas songs." --- The writing, rehearsing and performing at The Venus Envy Annual Xmas Show in Seattle (3 years?) was hilarious. What a joy and an honor to work with these silly, clever and tremendously musical women !
Thank you all for your great feedback! That is the continuing joy of having made this CD!
Linda Noel (the one with the low voice and Naturally Curly Hair, hah hah )

Hillarious, and a bit bawdy
author: Shawna
I laughed all the way through. I'm not a lesbian, but my mom is, and I got the jokes. My boyfriend didn't. Oh well. I guess that means that the CD is great for someone who's into bawdy lesbian humor, and not so much for someone who isn't. I got this CD for myself as a reward for good behavior, and it was totally worth it.

A little butch but who's complaining?
author: Fritzopup
I am a Yulehead and collect all types of Christmas music so I'm always on the lookout for something different. This CD delivers on all counts. There is nothing more offensive here than might be found on a Zappa recording. I found the comedy and general 'gaity' of the songs refreshing. Sure, I won't be putting this on Aunt Concetta's annual Christmas comp but I have several friends (gay & straight) that are really going to enjoy this material. My only complaint is that the CD could have been longer. Maybe a follow-up is in the works? This one ranks up there with Pansy Division's 'Have a Homo Xmas this year" .
