Album Notes

Joes Shanghai... the long awaited new disc from Las Vegas' own "Punk Rock Rat Pack". Featuring 17 new tracks and the whole shebang on track 18, for dominating jukeboxes and allowing the digital generation to download it for the price of 1 song.

Recorded by Adam Bomb (formerly of The Faction), this new slab of piss and vinegar follows the critically acclaimed 2006 career compilation, A Fist Full of Hell… Joe's Shanghai is a more focused kick in the face, catchy as hell songs about loose women and hard livin‘. The sound is a blend of early 80's O.C. style beach punk meets '77 style trad punk, but a closer listen shows a touch of jazz improv and even a lil' acoustic, courtesy of Ruckus. Las Vegas' longest running punk band (13 years and counting with this line up), The Vermin have direct & indirect links to pretty much all of the original Vegas punk bands such as M.I.A., Subterfuge, Self Abuse and A.W.O.L. This is certainly a celebration of those roots and includes a cover of the M.I.A. arranged version of "LAS VEGAS". Although The Vermin are more known for their infamous live shows, this is their definitive recording and just might be the best punk release to ever come outta Sin City. You be the judge!

THE VERMIN:
Dirk Vermin on guitar /lead vocals
Rob Ruckus on bass/vocals
Turbo Proctor on drums
