Vermouth's debut CD, RetroFuture Pop Exotica, released on March 10, 2011 is the brainchild of Justine Kragen and Steve McDonald whose eclectic assortment of influences create bite size chunks of pop music that are both melodic and offbeat. The album includes a host of talented multi-instrumentalists performing songs featuring sea anemones, go go dancers, iguanas and various tales of idiosyncratic friends.

RetroFuture Pop Exotica is an intricate composition of vocal harmonies, atmospheric guitars, vibraphone, keyboards, trumpet, trombone, baritone sax, bass, melodica, percussion, drums, jungle calls and found sound including crickets, running water, birds and tide pools.

RetroFuture Pop Exotica was produced and mixed by Steve McDonald and mastered by grammy-award winning Evren Göknar at Capitol Mastering. Additional recording by Giulio Carmassi (Truffle Sound Studio). Additional processing by Adam Berg (Manifest Music).
