Album Notes

Anthony Verruso was born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey. His earliest known performance was age 3 singing to his Grandmother.

By Age 10, he had memorized all of the music in his parents substantial record collection including the collected works of The Barry Sisters and Jerry Vale.

Anthony studied classical voice for four years. He also sang in a rock "cover" band (which sounded like Pearl Jam and The Gin Blossoms).

“Don’t ask,” Verruso quips.

After the band scene, Anthony "tried to have a career" singing standards in the “New York Cabaret Community”, only to find out “...the cabaret world had died around 1978”.

He then stopped singing.

Anthony then started writing for a column in BroadwayWorld.com that was widely hated which pleased Mr. Verruso no end.

Bored with having to write about Broadway (akin to polishing the brass on the Titanic), he then stopped writing.

With the encouragement of a few great people, Anthony started singing again. “I found great guys to play with, great people to work with and a great place to record.”

Anthony doesn’t know what's next.
“Well, I sorta do but why spoil the surprise.”
