Album Notes

Suburban Life is the Chris Vestre Group's 2nd CD. 15 original compositions with 9 musicians. This is a great headphones album. A lot of the rock, jazz and melodic styles that I like listening to are here. The guys playing on this album are top-notch and they all sound great together. Listen to some of the sample tracks to get an idea of what's going on.

Featuring the rare talents of:
Evan Jacobs - keyboards
Chris Maresh - bass
Aaron Lack - vibes
Jon Greene - drums (1-6,8-11)
Jason Friedrich - drums (7,12-15)
David Chenu - sax
Mark "Speedy" Gonzales - trombone
Ephraim Owens - trumpet

A fairly laidback, melody-orientated music that - to my ears anyway - grows for each time it's been played ..... soon a 5?

Great solos, great production...A+ jazz CD.

Suburban Life has all the things you expect from a jazz CD (solid compositions, competent musicians, etc.) but so many little touches that make this a favorite CD of mine. The production value is impressive, Ephraim's & David's solos are off the proverbial chain and Sun & Shade is the best waltz I've heard in years (thanks to Evan Jacobs' embellishments). Great CD!
