I am donating $2.00 from the purchase of every CD to the Wounded Warrior project, check out their website, I believe very strongly in this cause.

I have lived in N.Y.C. for many years, I started writing songs in the late 80s when I returned to N.Y. My first song, "Find A Cure", addressed the AIDS problem. I continue to write about social issues that are meaningful to me.

I have performed at the Bitter End March 3rd CD release show, Jane's Cafe, Baggot Inn, Sun Mountain, Eureka Joe's,The C Note, Rose's Turn, Dark Star,now known as The Triad Lounge, CBGB's Gallery, Orange Bear and many other NYC venues. I have performed on WBAI radio and I performed the "Tower Song" at a Sept. 11th fundraiser at the B'hai Center. I sing and arrange backup vocals for many N.Y.C. musicians and have credits on many artists' CDs.

"Valerie Gomes Live" was recorded at a 2001 show at Rose's Turn in Greenwhich Village. It includes "Jerusalem" and "Riverside". Hope you like the music.
