If there were an ideal time for a change in the direction of the music industry, that time would be now. A black rose has now emerged from the concrete, and it goes by the name of Vice. Unlike the monotonous lyrics and rhythm of much of today's music, Vice provides a unique style after the likes of Dr. Dre, Kanye West and Timbaland. In addition to his production talents, Vice rhymes with a charisma that is trend-setting, similar to renowned artist Jay-Z. Vice may only be halfway to where he is destined to go as an artist/producer, but he is a step ahead and a cut above the others.

Vice, also known as Sedrick Martin, discovered his interest in creating music at a very young age. The formidable stage presence of Vice arises from his many performances at local talent shows and freestyle contests; his following began here. His enthusiasm for developing his own distinctive sound and style, coupled with his vast knowledge of computers, enabled him to create his own pre-production studio on a modest budget. It will be from this studio that he makes a meteoric rise as an artist/producer.

Eclectic is the best way to describe his style; the best sound from the best sources. "My motivation comes from the desire to introduce something new to the music world. I want to combine Hip-Hop with a touch of Jazz, sprinkle it with a taste of smooth R&B and Pop, to stir up a perfect combination for any music lover's taste", says Vice. To add to his songwriting credits, Vice is the co-writer to the Billboard Top 100 single, "One Call Away", which was the third release from 4x Platinum Disturbing Tha Peace/Capitol Records newcomer, Chingy. The hot single, also went on to sale over 500,000 copies as a worldwide released cd single. He has worked with newly established producers, The Trak Starz, as well as, many artists and producers locally and nationwide.
