“These three composers are or were guitarists and wrote these pieces during the Twentieth Century, using elements, forms and rhythms of the popular music of their own countries, which bear witness to an undeniable South-American identity…The reason that motivated me to record this program of all three cycles of Five Preludes is simply the pleasure that I experience when playing this music and the affinity that I feel towards this repertoire. It is my desire that the listener enjoy these preludes as much as I do when playing them.”
---Victor Villadangos
