When Death Returns EP

by Vietus Mortuus

This EP comes with a sticker and runs approx. 25-ish minutes. Aggressive and melodic Black Metal. Sounds like early-90's Nordic metal played by guys who grew up on Bay Area thrash (because we are, and we did).
Genre: Metal/Punk: Black Metal

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Vietus Mortuus is a vision of a more primal time, a celebration of the power, beauty and darkness found in the natural world and a contemplation of an ancient era. Looking ever inward for meaning we are outsiders, strangers, leaders. We pull farther away from the modern world and its failing systems. Our music is a means of confrontation with our surroundings and also where we find our own intangible and ephemeral world.
Born out of many influences and filled with melodic subtlety, a tense and dynamic atmosphere is created within our arrangements. This variety of elements gives our compositions unique depth and character. Few bands are capable of mixing genres so effortlessly, usually sounding contrived and uneven. For us it is natural and these differences are part of who we are, flowing through our music quite organically. More than a riff style, our songs are a medium through which our philosophy and attitude are conveyed.
