Album Notes

The Javier Vinasco (clarinet) – Edith Ruiz (piano) duo started in 2004. Their main focus has been the research, interpretation and recording of Latin-American music such as the ones displayed in their two compact discs recently released, dedicated to Colombian composers and some transcriptions from well-know Latin-American classics like Astor Piazzolla and Heitor Villa-Lobos, you will clearly see the exploration the duo has made on performing and musical statements. The duo has played in Mexico City’s main halls as well as performed in music festivals in Latin and North America.
