Album Notes

Vincent has developed a unique compositional style, which is a blend of world, jazz, rock and classical music. This collection of music uses the Silk Road as a methaphor, blending musical styles and ideas from numerous cultures and encompassing Vincent's 35 years of performance, study and travels.

A review of the track Lhasa. "This track is beautiful in its simplicity. Weaving a gorgeous tapestry of musical vibrations, Vincent Flores pulls us into his world, a world of wonder through ambience. "Lhasa" blends Middle Eastern musical styles with current ambient styles, while pushing forward with Latin drumming and native background chants.
The best part of this track is how relaxing it is! I listened through it once and could hardly tell where the time had gone when I had to press play again! The textures work well together, forming a coherent musical piece that transcends boundaries right and left. I commend Vincent Flores on this achievement!
I wouldn't feel safe comparing this track to anything because frankly I've never heard anything like it, so making a wrong comparison would just make me feel like a liar. I'll just say that this track is worth as many listens as you can give it! Put it on repeat and lay back, let the smooth flow of music surround you and take you away to places you've never been. You won't want to turn it off, that's for sure!"
