" vin - te - gaas (vin - tay - gôs)
n. a nightmare become reality "


-From the garage to the stage, first as a two piece slaying covers at their High School talent shows, backyards, basements, house parties and various events... Vintegaas has constantly pushed the limits of their music, themselves and their performance.
For two years, these guys rocked without a bassist, as Robert Thomas took position of rhythm, lead guitar and vocal front man. They later met local musician Joe Aguirre, who later became their first actual front man.
The three piece challenged the streets of Portland for two years, proving that they were a force of strong individuals with music to match.
Eric later brought Jon Wright in as a second guitarist, who also doubled as a bassist. In 2002 they came across their former child hood friend Chris Williams. They went on to do many shows throughout Oregon. Jon was later replaced by Richard Vachkov, who went from guitar to bass in a short amount of time. This went on for many gigs, as Chris decided that he wanted to stay an "in town band" after two years of non stop gigging , while the rest of Vintegaas decided they wanted to move forward with their writings as well as performance and bring their act to other states and venues.

-Vintegaas first EP "OUR ENERGY BUILDS" was released in fall of 2002. In 2003, Vintegaas brought forth their first live CD recorded at the Paris Theater, which included songs from "Our Energy Builds", as well as a numerous amounts of old originals. In 2004 after a long tedious battle of member changes, they took a break to recoup.

-After the musical chairs of members had worked its toll... the guys finally stood their ground, and decided to stay a force of 4. In 2005, Vintegaas did a complete "overhaul" on the band, gear, sound, and song writing. Spending the whole year writing new material and spreading the word. Vintegaas have since had the privilege to share the stage with an incredible number of bands, including, Sixfeet Under, Nile, Thine Eyes Bleed, SwornEnemy, Skinlab, Daath, Asesino, Cthonic, Vehemence, Animosity, Clifton, Hostility, Out For Blood, Colma, Hell Within, Manias and many more!

Now under construction... Vintegaas' FIRST full length LP entitled "Denied At The Gates" Due out this spring 2009
