I found just one fault with this CD.

The beauty of any live performance - recording is the rawness of the recording yet the Femmes manage to go one better. They expand on their unique and personal style by recording in front of a small audience numbers. It’s a personal experience.
Are they infact in my backyard playing for my mates rather than playing to people unknown, simply earning a living. The place where every performer started yet few manage to remain in touch with.
Music of any description is intended to please us the listener. My only true dissatisfaction with this CD. It has an end. The Violent Femmes are a pleasure that should extend into infinity.

Nothing is better than a Violent Femmes CD, unless it’s a live one.

Is there a style of music the Violent Femmes can’t master, an instrument they can’t utilise?
Is there anything the Femmes have released that is not 100% first class, studio album or recorded live? My problem is selecting which CD to play. This CD has made that an even more difficult choice.
How can three men be so talented? It’s simply not fair. This CD yet again demonstrates the Femmes ability to arrive at a venue, feel out the audience and play up to them. I can only suggest one thing better than a Femmes live CDs. Even if you are not a concertgoer, even if the Violent Femmes are the only ones you ever see live, make the effort as the Violent Femmes are in a class of their own.

Remember when Rock n' Roll meant something? Remember when Jazz was crazy and drove everyone mad? I didn't either until this. Twelve bucks, and worth every penny.

If you're a Femmes fan, you're going to love this. Of course that really goes without saying. The extended live versions of their well-known songs are excellent and I personally loved Waiting for the Bus. The CD is about 40 minutes--well worth the $10.
