At the forefront of a rising wave of new local talent in the bluegrass and old-time music genres, VIPER CENTRAL has managed to create an original niche in an otherwise traditional style and yet simultaneously appeal to audiences both young and old. Blending instrumental prowess with innovative arrangements and creative vocal harmonies, their first album showcases the diverse songwriting talents of virtually every member in the band, earning them a place among the best in Canadian acoustic music and establishing them as an act to follow in the years to come.

BAND BIO:
Comprising members of such diverse acts as the Fugitives, the Blue Island Trio, Redgrass, Kent McAlister & the Iron Choir, Whiskey Jar, and former members of the Mountain Bluebirds and the Newfangled Stringband, VIPER CENTRAL is a six-piece bluegrass & old-time collective featuring Lorraine Cobb on guitar, Steve Charles on bass & clawhammer banjo, Kathleen Nisbet on fiddle, Tyler Rudolph on banjo & bass, Tim Tweedale on dobro and Mark Vaughan on Mandolin.
