Virginia Wagner had already established her roots firmly in the Greenwich Village folk-pop scene when she released this debut CD, BROKEN HEARTED ANGEL, on Anvil Records.

This CD was IMMEDIATELY EMBRACED by folk radio programmers and DJs across the country and tracks were aired on over 400 radio stations.

DIRTY LINEN MAGAZINE called Ms. Wagner "an inventive and interesting singer/songwriter, well worth listening to."

JOHN WEINGART, host of "Music You Can't Hear on the Radio," a show that has aired since 1974 on WPRB-Princeton, NJ listed the BROKEN HEARTED ANGEL as "one of the ten most interesting and wonderful CDs" he played for the first time. He is not alone in that opinion.

Soon after the release of this debut CD, Virginia was honored at the New Jersey Folk Festival by being one of six singer-songwriters chosen to represent the State of New Jersey.

Influenced by songwriters such as Dylan, Mitchell, Paul Simon and Bruce Hornsby, Virginia writes what she calls "verbal/musical landscapes," and although her songs explore the darker side of human emotion, her on-stage personality is remarkably sunny and her in-between song conversation frequently evokes laughter from the audience!

Many people describe Virginia's voice as "crystal clear" or simply "beautiful" and "mesmerizing!" Her lyrics are deep and thought provoking. Comments from other artists are often the same, "I wish I could write like that!"

Being featured as top artist while touring up and down east coast venues, she appeared in Manhattan, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. She also performed at THE HARD ROCK CAFE (Toronto) and followed it with and equally majestic performance at LEE'S PALACE while touring in Toronto.
