Some call it baroque-pop, others call it narcoleptic punk; at once ecstatic and operatic, but darkly reflective and full of melancholy; Vishnu's Secret defies all attempts at description.

Album Notes

Bob Burns and Aimee Page created Vishnu's Secret out of the intensely artistic hybridizing culture of Santa Cruz, CA in the early 1990's. The songs reflect passionate, strongly emotional, and intense subject matter, transported by Burns' imaginative and multifaceted guitar lines, which sound almost as if two players are present, interlocking with Aimee's otherworldly soprano vocals, in synchopation with the guitar and occasional cello. The duet could produce onstage and in the studio, as much or more sonic dynamics and emotional texture than most full bands. The intricate compositions augmented by the dark and deep saxophone of James Garrison, who often joined them in performance.

Aimee continues to collaborate with other musicians such as John Michael Zorko (of Falling You) and Emmanuel Deruty, a prolific French composer and producer.
