VISION RED is a Christian Heavy Metal Rock band hailing from Dallas/Ft.Worth Texas in the U.S.A.
Two brothers realized back in the early nineties that God had placed a call on them to help spread The Word through Heavy Metal music.
Since then they have written well over 200 songs.
Eight of them are featured on their demo CD : BLOOD 4 BLOOD
They have rocked several venues all over D.F.W. and are looking to recruit a new drummer so they can continue their Christian Metal Assault on society
Kenny picked up the guitar when he was seven. His dad loved playing the guitar. He had a major influence on Jeff and Kenny. He loved Elvis and Johnny Cash. Kenny started writing music when he was a teenager. Jeff and Kenny have been in several bands before VISION RED.. Vengence was 1st. Jon Pointer on lead/rhythm guitar,Danny Beasley on bass and vocals and Chris Brough on drums and Kenny on lead/rhythm guitar. Exorsist was next. With Jeff on bass and his best friend Billy Hall on rhythm guitar and Matt McLeod on drums. Kenny was the lead vocalist and guitarist. They started concentrating on writing and performing music. Matt and Bill quit to pursue other interests. Kenny and Jeff auditioned drummers for a new band they were starting. A Heavy Metal band with a more positive/Christian message and then they met Brad Baker. The 3 of them got together and formed Trinity. They were called other names before Trinity, Blood Feast Evolution was one. "The coolest place we ever played was Dallas City Limits"Kenny said. "Headlining there was truly awesome". "We were just about to open for Quiet Riot but they shut DCL down". They opened for Pat Travers. He sang "Boom Boom Boom Out Go The Lights" at a club called Fatsos. They had one of the best drummers and friends on earth but he passed away...Brad Baker, R.I.P. After Brads death they didn't play for quite a while but the call God had placed on Kenny and Jeff to help spread His word through music became overwhelming. They started rehearsing again. They formed a band called Forever Reign, named after a song of theirs. That didn't last long. Members just weren't dedicated enough. They kept rehearsing and writing new material pretty much putting playing live on hold. They knew 1 day would come when they could share their music with all of you. They decided to change the name of the band to VISION RED. "I hope everyone enjoys the music as much as we enjoy sharing it with you"! "We love all of you so much and we've been missing you"! "We hope you like our music". "Thank all of you so much for all that y'all have done for us and continue to do"! They are still eagerly waiting for God to send them the drummer He has in store for them. When that drummer arrives they will resume playing live once more, trust that !
God Bless our fans!
