I was surprised

I didn't know what to expect. Boy, was I surprised. I recently heard the band for the first time, I gotta say, I've been missing out. What an unbelievable sound. I have quite a few favorites. I have to say Our Love is number one to me. I too agree that one day they will be discovered.

Vital Point...it's a gooder folks!
author: Bud Bennett
Vital Point is a great CD. I've had it for a good while now and if these guys could get royalties on the number of times I've played it, they'd all be retired now and living high on the hog. This is one of those CDs that make my mind work because of the intricate music, the intelligent lyrics, and the full blown energy that comes through here.
The band to me seems to me soundwise, what you'd get if you took Chicago, Asia, and Alice Cooper, put them all in a bag and shook them up. What would come out of the bag is Vital Point. And I mean that in the best possible way. If you take elements of each of these bands, plus elements of other bands, plus elements of New York City itself and put them together, THAT's what Vital Point reminds me of.
My very favorite song on this cd is "It's Over" that one just totally does it for me. it's big, it's dramatic, it's emotional, and the band is playing full tilt on this song, it's just audio dynamite to me. My other favorite is "Are You Really Dreaming". This song fascinates me, maybe because of the keyboard part, or maybe the catchy bassline, or maybe the vocal effects. It's hard to say what it is, but it seems like all of the different parts of this song come together to set a mood and that mood sticks with me for ages and ages. It's a way cool song.
This CD is professional all the way. It's easy to hear that a quality studio was used, much practice and thought went into the songs, and a professional mixing job was done. It's a first rate job all around! Someday I know i'll turn on The Letterman show, or Saturday Night Live and these guys will be on there. I can just imagine Paul and Anthony trading keyboard licks there on the Letterman show.
It's a gooder folks!
