Caviar for the ears!!  Salty, just the right amount of crunch and no unpleasant aftertaste... I'm fortunate enough to listen to indies all day long and this album definately ranks amongst those with the most flavor.  Excellent work, Vital Point!

Sometimes a band's second album doesn't measure up to their first, sometimes the second album totally eclipses the first in it's goodness.  Between the Lines is the latter here.  The band has obviously matured in both writing and performing and when they play live they must totally rock the joint.  For me, the album highlights are the ultra-funky "Money" complete with it's Santata-esque guitar fills, Caught Between the Lines with it's amazing keyboard lead and catchy guitar riffs, and the ultar-heavy All Abort.  There are a lot of other highpoints, but  these three songs stand out for me and run through my head a lot. 

 Throughout the album the rhythm section is tight and interesting, the guitarwork is amazingly versatile and sensitive to the needs of the song, the vocals strong and dynamic, and the keyboards versatile, sensitive rock solid and funky!  Production wise, the whole album is first rate too.  I know that the band took a lot of time (!) recording and mixing this and it shows.  This is no basement project here.  These guys used a pro studio and experienced ears here.  For my money, it was well worth the effort too.  

Caught Between the Lines is a FIRST RATE album.  Double thumbs up guys!
