Vito Cole, someone I used to know is the debut album from one of the mid-West's best kept secrets. Vito hails from Wayne, America (Nebraska) and has been doing the singer-songwriter/band thing for about 10 years now. When Vito gets a band together they are known as Vito and the V-Tones..... Some of you may recognize that name...A few songs including "Got To Be" have been circulating the web for a couple years.
Also an early incarnation of the band had a track called "Shouldn't Stay Away," included on a compilation called Midwest Diamonds in the Rough released a few years ago. Vito is an exceptional songwriter and can wail like nobody in the business. The CD is a collaboration with the best of the best in the Nebraska music scene and if you dig emotional rock with a very soulful, intensely personal slant, you will not be disappointed......Check it out!!!!!!1

You really take your chances with an unknown singer-songwriter. This album, however, is incredible. He keeps the riffs simple, but not boring. Lyrics are timley, funny and heardbreaking. It's small town naivete made as realistic as you can imagine.
