About The Latecomers EP:
"Pour us some whiskey, hide all the guns"... Sings Vivian Linden in the song Drunken Lover, a cautionary tale of decaying love and co-dependence. Through these entanglements, woven in the realm where the heart and head collide, she finds her muse, sometimes suffering calamity and heartbreak in order to encounter those brief moments of grace that emerge from the wreckage of falling in and out of love.
The Latecomers EP also includes:
Michael McNaughton - electric guitar, lapsteel
Lauryn Shapter - viola, violin

This music is beautiful.
author: Steve Bush
Vivian sings with an unhurried tenderness that soothes my aches, and a gentleness that brings rest to my distressed soul. She is accompanied by calming music that comes alongside like friends who, without saying a word, share her emotional affection. Through one listen, it’s as though I’ve gained a faithful, loyal friend who will be there no matter what I might face in this life. I long for more.

I really like this material. This artist seems to have a powerful, stark "country-and-roots" inspired formula and a beautiful voice. I can't wait to hear more from this band...
