Album Notes

On this Philly Classics Production, Vincent Montana, Jr. features daughter, Denise Montana, lead vocalist of the superb disco band 'Goody Goody'. In the late 70s, millions of people danced to Goody Goody's world-wide hit "#1 Dee Jay" and to this day, it is relished by DJs and dancers alike.

The sexy, sultry "It Looks Like Love" is one of the most sampled tracks in dance music and continues to be a timeless club anthem. "Esto Parese Amor" with all the expected elements of a Montana Production, has been called a 'DeeJay's Delight'. Both tracks are enduring club favorites and for the first time they appear together in one tight package with special mixes created by Paul Simpson and Renald Deschamps.

Known as 'Disco Pioneer' and the creator of The Salsoul Orchestra, Montana penned and produced such classics as "Nice N Nasty, Salsoul Rainbow and Chicago Bus Stop" to name a few. He is also known for his integral role as one of the founding members and key elements of 'The Philly Sound' as part of the original MFSB rhythm section as well as session man on countless hits recorded in 'The City Of Brotherly Love' during the 70s.

Taken from the original "Philly Classics" 12" Vinyl PSW-784 (Part 1) and PSW-785 (Part 2).
