ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Following up on our 2008 CD release, "Side by Side", our new release "Life is Good!" commemorates our 25 year anniversary as a band and is dedicated to our former guitarist, Jim Matejcek, who embodied the theme. Life is Good! features the classic and memorable rock, doo-wop, and rhythm and blues tunes from the 1950s and '60s. Check out our take on some of the best songs from that bygone era.

Our group began in 1988 when Vocal-ease, three women, put a band together and performed a few Andrews Sisters songs for a 40-year reunion of Camp Stoneman, a World War II military base. The concert went over so well that we decided to expand our repertoire, which includes songs like “Sentimental Journey”, Jump, Jive ‘n Wail”, “Chatanooga Choo-Choo” and “Something’s Gotta Give”. Over decades of performance, we decided to delve into music from the 1950s and ‘60s, featuring the sounds of Motown, the Beach Boys, and The Four Seasons.

We love this music because it has clever lyrics, sweet melodies and harmonies, intricate musical arrangements, and it isn’t weighed down by heavy social messages. It’s simply great music, and you won’t have anxiety over your kids hearing it ... it’s family-friendly.
