Voide offers you music that is somewhat off the beaten track with a cool and thoughtful touch! The songs can be classified as electro-pop, electronic techno or electronica de luxe. If you like electronic music even the least then you should check these songs out!
Space Sponge - The album
On this album, Voide takes you on a journey to many locations in the big U that starts with a regular autumn day and ends safely back home in perfect unison. Many of the songs have influences from either SciFi or from space and the universe. When you do purchase the CD, (that’s why you are here, right?) make sure you open the folder with the additional information about the songs.
About some of the songs on the album:
The songs ‘Three Minutes From Now’ and ‘Space Colonization’ are songs that try to resurrect the unmistaken feeling of 50s Sci-Fi movies without making fun of them (this is serious business!).
The ‘Space Sponge – Radio Edit’ track has received great feedback, for being close to an instrumental track it is not that common to receive that kind of attention. The original version of the song is also available on the CD. The Radio Edit has been made available for free download on the Internet as a promotion song.
'Star Diaries' is an excellent chill out/new age track combined with an energizing beat, make sure you give it a try!
'Money Control' is an interesting track, it mixes electronic techno with distorted synthesizers and vocals with vocoder effects. It's all about electronic money control, what if you had it?
'All Systems Go' is written in memory of the 1986 Challenger disaster, it is a song for afterthought and relaxation.
All of Voide’s songs are a perfect as ‘travel’ music to listen to in your car, on the go with your mp3 player, in your space ship or even in a chair in front of your massive speakers at home!
This is the debut album by Voide, and it is not just any album! It is produced and mixed by Voide and mastered by Peter In de Betou (Tailor Maid), one of Sweden’s most experienced mastering technicians. The result is an album with extremely high sound quality and the songs on the CD gives a cool experience.
Artist History – Voide
Voide brings uniqueness in the overall sound of the songs, the clean sound, powerful synthesizers and beautiful (often simple) melodies are ingredients that most of the songs have in common. The influences come to a high degree, from music in the 80s and early 90s. The one band that has had the most influence is the German band Kraftwerk, although influences come from all genres and senses.
The human(!) behind Voide is a Swedish artist named D. Almgren, all songs are written produced and performed by him as Voide.
