Columbus, Ohio's Voidgazer have weathered the storms and scenes of their midwestern hometown for the last five years. Their music has been described as "laid back but defiant" and "caffeine fueled riff rock" amongst other apt descriptions. The band mines the territory of the best classic rock and infuses it with the urgency and magnitude of the heaviest metal. The resulting sound calls to mind a record that was released and forgotten about long ago, but still stands up to the test of time. This is no "throwback" or nostalgia act, but rather a fearsome foursome who idolize the power and might of rock's classic heroes and deliver their music with the same type of attitude and presence.
