"Since the release of the Spider-Man movie, there's been no bigger Spider-Man event...until now!"
VOLUME, a four-piece band from Winnipeg, Canada, has just released their much anticipated CD, entitled "The Amazing Spider-Band." With the permission and support of Ray Ellis, the original composer of the music from the 60's Spider-Man cartoon series, VOLUME has re-created those classic tunes...including the theme song!
Envision Spider-Man swinging through the streets, senses tingling, taking on Kingpin, Sandman, Electro, Venom!! Listen to this disc and you'll get the picture.
Spider-fans, you've heard the official soundtrack, now hear the real deal! Countless hours pouring over old VHS tapes, travelling to Los Angeles for valuable input from Ray Ellis, enlisting the perfect brass players, all contribute to a remarkable re-recording of the music of the 60's Spider-Man animated cartoon. Whether or not you're a collector or just a plain music lover, do yourself a favor and give VOLUME, "The Amazing Spider-Band" a spin!

I hope these guys release more! The music certainly made the series for me, and was the most memorable aspect of the show.

I waited for a long time to get a copy of this album and it was worth it. This is more than just a rehash - it's the version of the music that would have been produced today.

Unbelievavle jazzed-up version of unrecognized Ray Ellis and Harris masterpieces. There is so much more work by those legends (Ellis/Harris) should should also be done ("Spider-Band II"). I believe that some stock music was also used in the Spider-man (and Rocket Robin Hood) series of the 60s and 70s was from composer Sam Spence (of NFL Films fame) and should also be reproduced in some way. I would also suggest that the Amazing Spider-Band should make some negotiaion with Avi Rad of the Spider-man Movies of the future to include some of these music themes in Spider-man IV, V etc. Keep up the great work
