This record style is best described as Classic Rock from the future. Actually, some sort of alternate future where classic rock stayed innovative and interesting and didn't devolve into Nu Metal and other blah. Like if early XTC and Devo became classic.

Album Notes

This album was recorded for a year and a half at Club Shmed studio in Missoula, Montana. It is the 5th full album released by Volumen. Whereas the last record was more like heavy psychedelia, this record went for more concise songs. The goal was to make it weird, but not so weird that two drunk dudes with acoustic guitars (preferably around some sort of campfire) couldn't pull off a passable representation of the songs. Think early Devo, early XTC meets Ramones and ELO.
