Album Notes

Hailing from Hamilton Ontario, John Mamone has a background in vocal theatre, as well as a vast ability to play all the essential rock instruments with proficiency. John is the principle songwriter in the group. His compositions create the basis of Volume Water's sound.
Toronto born Paul Salini is an experienced session drummer who has travelled as far as Nashville, L.A. and Texas to play his drums for professional songwriters. Salini along with Mamone played together prior to Volume Water in a band known as Dragonfly.
Ancaster Ontario raised Mike Walker is an experienced and talented guitarist who is completely devoted to his instrument. Mike joined Dragonfly for a brief period, then re- joined Mamone and Salini after a brief hiatus to form Volume Water in June of 2003.
2005 saw the release of their debut album, “Underneath the Sun”, a powerful and exciting collection of heavy, riff-driven compositions that stand out amongst current rock- radio fare. Volume Water signed with Attack Records in Toronto and have recently signed a record contract in Korea with SSG / EMI Asia, with additional distribution thoughout Japan with their biggest label, Pony Canyon. The band have just completed a video for the track, Underneath the Sun, produced by 1976 Films.
The band continues to perform their brand of power-rock to satisfied audiences on an ongoing basis.
