Album Notes

You might say that von Baron Music began many years ago when von Baron was growing up in the Midwestern United States. Classical, Jazz, and New Age music could always be heard drifting from the speakers of this New Age composer’s family stereos. He started playing drums at the age of fifteen and it was clear from the start that rhythm was in his blood as we now see years later with his breakthrough, New Age music on steroids.

This, his first album, Pangaea (2007) blends musical influences from Sting to Yanni and presents an eclectic blend of rhythms and instrumentation from around the world. His second album Souljourner released in 2009 (also available at CD Baby), continues in this direction with a rich blend of comforting, relaxing and spicy music.

von Baron believes that music is the true universal language and the tool most adept at bringing our world closer together through tolerance and understanding. It's with this singular vision in mind, that von Baron composes and produces music.

von Baron has also performed with the Honolulu Jazz Quartet, the Honolulu Symphony Pops, Tennyson Stephens, Benny Golson, Geoffrey Keezer, Shelly Berg, Doug MacDonald, Bruce Hamada, John Clayton, Gerald Clayton and Don Ho among others.
