Show Me How - Mel Vondrau's Second Album.

She chose to record an album with covers interspersed with her own original songs.

Why? We asked her and this was her reply, "Don't forget that I survived by singing in Bars, pubs, working men's clubs in the toughest places in England and Europe - the cover versions were all the public wanted to hear from me, it was just not done to sing my own songs in these venues. So, to pay homage to that, I allowed those covers in on MY act! I felt it was only fair, Don't you?!"

This album was a labour of love for Mel Vondrau. She did the unthinkable, took it to Midem in Cannes, early January 2004. The music industry had their noses put out of joint by an artist, especially a female one at that, going to their industry junket and taking her own stand to promote her own album.

A music video for the Elvis Presley hit, Fools Rush In (I can't help falling in love with you) is available to view on Mel Vondrau's website. She says it's her favourite song on the album as The King is one of her greatest musical influences.

In the spring of 2005, Mel Vondrau filmed a music video for the second track, Never, both videos to be released during an international Radio and TV campaign early 2006. (They're both currently on view at her website www.vondrau.com)

This album is a "coffee table album" - you can relax to it, listen to it whilst you're in the kitchen cooking up a storm, make love to it and even enjoy it whilst you're soaking up the sun on your yacht in the Med!

For an artist as versatile as Mel Vondrau, it all sounds like it happens so naturally. That's because, she says, "It just does. I sing from my soul and I hurt, I laugh and I cry with the listener as the music leaves me. It shouldn't be any other way! Should it?!"

This is the premise of Show Me How, beautiful songs which are straight from the heart. An undeniable new talent - a force of nature she sure is - this girl's got soul!
