Album Notes

Here's the second all-Monster album from the mind of Mike Hoffman, two years after the release of "Monster University", with 13 more songs ranging from upbeat Pop to heavy Rock and "Monster Mash"-styled humor. Evocative of the original 60s Monster scene yet updated for today. Hoffman plays all instruments and does mean impressions of Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre and more characters of his own. Mike's also well known for his many works in the Fantasy and Comics fields. Special appearance on track #1 by John Zacherley, the original "Cool Ghoul" TV horror host of the 1950s.

Anybody that is a fan of '60's monster-mania music will find this album a thrill.  Von Hoffman's vocals go a long way in conveying the gestalt of the period albums, and are refreshingly straight-forward. The music has an ardent personality that shines through from song to song.  The song-writing captures the monster-era perfectly.

"Monster University,Touchdown," is the follow-up companaion to "Monster University, The Soundtrack."  Every fan of Monster Movies will simply gush blood over this cd.  The lyrics are extremely well written; amuzing, comical, moody, and especially fun to listen to.  The music itself is downright great, reflecting the many genres of today's music industry. Also, any record with a guest appearance by the Cool Ghoul himself, the one and only Zachereley has to be great. Run out and buy this cd now, you won't be disappointed.
