Uniquely talented, dark brown eyed, smooth mellow voiced and a beautiful personality make Vontae Darby special. Not
only in her recorded performances but also in her live performances as well. Vontae continues to mature as a vocalist and songwriter and her vocal prowess is expanding. Vontae knows what she wants to sound like and she knows just what her direction in the music field should be. She is determined to fit into that space. Her voice is a plethora of musical tonalities and, while she can sing most any type or style of song, her best so far, is the mellow love song styles. Whether fast or slow tempos, she excels in performance and delivery. Her voice, like a delicate instrument, produces silky smooth falsetto, mellow, throaty tones, and powerful diaphramic expressions of beautiful sounds.
Vontae loves to write about love, real love and commitment, rather than the common type that has been popularized by her songwriter contemporaries. She feels that true love is special, even sacred and should not be mistaken for "physical" or "sexual" attraction, which often ends up in heartbreak and disappointment.
After working with her as vocal coach and music arranger over the past 2 years, I feel that she is now ready mentally, vocally and artistically to step into the arena of world class vocalists.

I love you CD. There are songs on your CD that touch my heart so much that I have to keep playing them over and over again. I love listening to "You'll Fall In Love Again and "Sunshine". Listening to you sing makes me feel good inside because I can relate to what you are saying.

This Cd is off the hook. What is being said in the songs are so true. Anyone who has ever been in love will appreciate what this girl is trying to say. Like in one of her songs she says searching for love is like searching in a river fools gold is easy to find but the real thing can last for all time. Anit it the truth. It is so hard to find love now and days.I'm young say'en this.You know us young people we can fall in love in an instance (whether its with a bum or some fine guy), but you can't even do that because it hard. I think its about time someone said how hard it is. I can't wait for this girl to come out with a new cd because I am getting it. Beleive that.
