In the middle of releasing his last project “Money Already Made” which featured artists like Lil KeKe from SwishaHouse and Bushwick Bill from The Geto Boys, All-American athlete and Rice University graduate, Von Won was forced to change up the style of music he was creating when coming home from a concert he was tazed 4 times and attacked by police in Houston,TX. He had the same booking agent as 2x platinum artist Lil Flip and was seeking a record contract with Universal and Sony, but after that close to death encounter he realized all the diamonds, money, cars, drugs and women weren’t as important as a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and eternal life in heaven. He teamed up with Tre9 and Much Luvv Records, possibly the most successful Christian Hip Hop based label in Texas and began work on his Rise to the Top project.
