Vonyse is one of the most (60's / 70's) soul invoked female vocalists to emerge in recent decades. Her songwriting is unequivocal and her themes culturally diverse. Vonyse's "Altered Native Soul" music has re-defined neo soul and revived the essence of the soul movement.

Vonyse is promoting her (spring 2005) CD release entitled "When Sleeping Giants Wake" and has performed at colleges, festivals and clubs nationally to sold out culturally diverse audiences. Vonyse was nominated for a NAACP award in 2004 and has also appeared on MTV.
