Album Notes

Inspired by such great power pop acts as Cheap Trick and the Beatles, The Voodoo Jets' sound seeks to reclaim the innocence of an era gone by, though married seamlessly with a modern power pop ethic. Envision keyboards turbocharged by a wall of guitar amplifiers, the subtle layered harmonies of the beach boys, and a precise but relentless rhythm section. The Voodoo Jets deliver passion, beauty, and crushing hooks all in one surreal burst of power! New tracks on From Greens to Eternity were produced by Rich Spillberg (Wargasm) and mixed by Jim Siegel (Dropkick Murphys).

PRESS QUOTES

"Strong melodies, infectious choruses, and sharp, vivid lyrics complete the picture of an album that should rocket The Voodoo Jets to stardom..." Jo-Ann Greene, allmusic

"Bassist and frontman Francesco Perrouna has the right mix of attitude and sneer in his voice..." Absolute Power Pop

"The Voodoo Jets Make Strangely Captivating Rock..." Brita Belli, Fairfield Weekly

"Think of The Voodoo Jets' Micah Sheveloff as the Eddie Van Halen of keyboards. Not only because he coaxes sounds out of his instrument that no one else can, but at times on his band’s tight debut Supersonic, Sheveloff’s riffing is reminiscent of fast Eddie’s often overlooked rhythm-guitar style..." Car Audio Magazine

"From the Beatlesesque orchestration and vocal delivery of "Cold Outside" to the distorted power chords of "Big Black Machine Gun," The Voodoo Jets don't sound like a trio, much less one with nonstandard instrumentation..." Danbury News-Times

" All in all, this is a very unique band and the disc is a good-time listen so check it out..." The Edge Magazine

" The songs are fantastic, catchy, and I loved it. The singer has a perfect voice for this style of music and the production is right where it needs to be. The songs are so damn catchy..." Chris Forbes, MetalCore Fanzine

"The Voodoo Jets jump out as well-schooled, well practiced players delivering a collection of radio-bound summer songs that elicit memories of Fastball, Tonic, even Dishwalla..." Lollipop Magazine

"The key to their success is in their songwriting and their attention at nailing the perfect chorus for each track. What lures you into each song are the infectious hooks and the flowing verses..." Pivotal Rage

"Sheveloff transcends any notions of what a piano-based trio should sound like by writing sweet, meaty pop songs and pushing his Rhodes through enough hardware to give it the teeth and hair of a guitar..." Amplifier Magazine

"I can spot a band that has talent and the songwriting, performance and attention to the sonic landscape are first class..." A Cool Noise

"I got so caught up in the Beatle-esque melodies and harmonies that I completely missed that there is no guitar!" Sleaze Roxx

"In a word, The Voodoo Jets’ sophomore CD is brilliant. Anyone who loves the sound of the keyboards will be fascinated by the band’s creative use of them. This CD’s classic rock flare mixed with the talents of Sheveloff, Perrouna, Trabandt and Fowler delivers something anyone can enjoy." Molly Walter
