This surprising blend of hip hop, pop, and acid jazz (with the occasional surf guitar reference) that the group has fun calling "trip hop pop" has developed an intense following who appreciate voodoolulu's tight original lyrics and her low sexy rap style. The crowd also gets off on the lush, hypnotic vocals provided by Chemda, an emotional powerhouse with the range and depth of Nina Simone, she consistently stuns large and small audiences alike.

Influences include a double-wide range from trip hop legends like Portishead and massive attack to classic soul sensations like Dusty Springfield ("Son of a Preacher Man"). You can count the live hip hop band The Roots & masterful lyricists like Big Boi & Dre of Outkast as having made an impact. Mix a musical cocktail shaker with the personal revelations of Atlantis Morissette, the political convictions of Ani DiFranco, and the sexually explicit hot & crusty vibe of Lil' Kim, while you keep a vinyl copy of "The Music From U.N.C.L.E." spinning on low volume in the background, and you're starting to put it all together.
