Voodoo Weasel, "The Rockin' Blues Band," is more dedicated to preserving the traditional Chicago blues sound than any other group on the Wilmington club circuit.
The five-piece band with Linda Hartman on drums, Larry "Blind Dog" Brown on guitar, Frankie Legato on bass, Billy "Rack" Papili on harmonica, and Dean A.
Banks on keyboards, lays down scorching covers of the best of Chicago masters, sprinkling its set with plenty of classics by Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, Willie Dixon and more.
These classics are mixed with blues-based classic rock and originals into a powerful brew that has ignited crowds in both Wilmington and Atlantic City, where Voodoo Weasel got some serious house at Trump Marina in the Summer of '99, and the Atlantic City Beachfest in the Summer of '01.
Don't plan on sinking into your chair for the night, though.
Bring your dance shoes.
Its mandatory at a Weasel show.
