Voomz is a female Los Angeles singer/producer/DJ whose synth-based original compositions draw inspiration from the 70s, 80s, and electronic disco creating a unique combination reminiscent of a young Blondie blended with the quirky and artistic elements of an artist like Bjork.
Her indie-electric sounds have earned her invitations to perform at popular venues like Spaceland, The Viper Room, The Roxy, and the legendary music hall The Troubadour, as well as some mini tours along the California coastline.
During a brief stint of recording and DJing in NYC last year, she created several remixes for Peaches, Katy Perry, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, and Notorious B.I.G. that led to residencies at Palihouse Holloway, Bar Lubitsch, and The Hudson when she returned West, as well as private and corporate event bookings.
Her eclectic DJ sets range from dance floor jams in the nu disco/house/indie dance culture to open format mixes of the best rock, disco, hip hop, funk, soul, 80s, 90s, R&B, and electro.
Voomz released an original LP ELECTRONAUTZ on her label StuloVer in 2009 that landed her on URB's Next List that same year. After garnering attention for her songwriting in the music publishing world, several songs from the album have been licensed out for film/television.
She is currently recording her 2nd release LA F’AIM D’EVE due in 2010.
