Well, it's the end of an error - uh, era - and the only thing worth remembering is the music.
This provocative, empowering collection of twelve original songs, two poems and a Chris Chandler/Anne Feeney theater piece is the ultimate keepsake from the miserable "Reign of Error."
"Vote in November: Election 2004 Anti-Theft Device," is an anti-Bush administration, pro-humanity CD.
9 tracks are previously unreleased.
Conceived and produced by Andrew Calhoun, "Vote in November" features several artists from other labels, including Steve Gillette, Anais Mitchell, Chuck Brodsky and Dan Bern.

Passionate, funny, and at times beautiful.
author: Stephen Berg
This is an eclectic compilation of passionate and moving music. The songs that stand out are "Mercy" by Kate McDonnell and the gorgeous "Filled With Love" by Joyce Anderson, the latter of which could be an anthem for the anti-war movement. "Bush Must Be Defeated" is self explanatory, and Les Barker comes up with a wonderfully understated poem in "The Civilised World." The Dylanesque "Dangerous Times" has Chuck Brodsky channelling Dylan. The words are perfect as it explores our paranoia as a nation. Not for Republicans...

music that rekindles the spirit and passion of the 60s...and today
author: Roger Briggs
This collection of protest songs about the Bush administration does a great job of mobilizing the Anybody But Bush (ABB) crowd. But most surprisingly is the quality of the music and musicians who perform it. Sight unseen (or more correctly unheard) this collection of folk music rekindles the spirit and passion that many of us remember from the 60s, and if you weren't there, it's about time you realized what your parents knew and still know about the value of community.

red meat for liberals
author: Kevin McCarthy
This highly charged and deliberately titled CD...is not the sound track from the recent Republic National Convention.
Well, what to say about the offerings here: the most fun is Chris Chandler's and Anne Feeney's "Carnival #4" from their CD "Live From The Wholly Stolen Empire." The combination of the ingenuity of Chandler's spoken words and Feeney's biting vocals satirically prick the pomposity of the usual suspects in D.C. as well as the contradictions being lived, or endured, by so many throughout the country. This is a marvelous cut. (Click the website link for the full review)

Still relevant after all these tears
author: Pat Walsh
Prior to November 2004, several of us in several states got this CD into the hands of as many people as we could, including a group of university students from France. Ah, to be famous in France. Anthems, themes, and passions abound in Anti-Theft Device. Post 2004, it is still relevant, and still good songwriting and talented performances. The compilation is humorous -Feeney and Chandler, emotionally moving -Sons of the Never Wrong, politically charged -Les Barker, and a sad reminder that men still go to war and pay a great price -Andrew Calhoun. This Waterbug CD is a fine representation of what many political folk musicians have to say about today's world.
