Vincent “V.Rich” Richardson is one of a rare breed of artists’ who possesses an innate musicality. He has an arsenal of adept skills as a musician/singer, songwriter, arranger and producer, and a singular style that, meshes a neo-soul and hip-hop energy, with Pop/r & b flavored rhythms, and irresistible and catchy lyrical content. The son of a Preacher, V.Rich was born into a family of musicians in Lansing, Michigan, and spent his childhood in New Haven, Connecticut, where he sang in his father’s church, school events, and many other functions. He was exposed to a myriad of music genres and artists, like Bob Marley, Oscar Petterson, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simon, Donny Hathaway, D’Angelo and Erykah Badu. He later graduated Cum Laude with a BA degree in Piano Performance from Howard University. While living in the D.C. area, he began playing and singing back-up for major R&B recording artist, Amel Larrieux. He also founded the short-lived but critically acclaimed hip hop band, Lauda, and worked with a number of local and national artists including Raheem DeVaughn, Mya, Navasha of The Band, Fertile Ground, Wayna, Grenique, and multi-Grammy winner, Lauryn Hill.
