ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Wade Elliott Band

The music of "The Wade Elliott Band" is an exciting mixture of American Folk, acoustic driven rock, blues, and a little country funk. The two principle songwriters are brothers with distinct styles of their own. Glenn, who has a driving acoustic rock sound, together with Mark, whose style is more ballad with funk tones, is a complimentary combination that thrives. The lyrics, which reflect years of life's experiences, are substantive and homespun. "The Wade Elliott Band" brings together creative melodies and chorus hooks and has a great live sound with Fred's searing guitar licks, Ray's rock-solid drum techniques and Rich's tasteful keyboard and bass arrangements.
The Wade Elliott Band has just wrapped up their first album entitled, "Ride This Town".To quote singer/songwriter, Glenn "What an experience it has been!" The band recorded "Ride This Town" in their own "Studio Sixty". The album, a part time project and a labor of love for the entire band, was produced by Richard Gaudette. The challenges of rehearsing twice a week, writing new music and putting "Ride This Town" together were all worthwhile and The Wade Elliott Band is extremely proud of the quality of their accomplishment. The band is looking forward to starting work on their second album, as well as, performing live shows throughout the coming year.

I agree that this CD has a diverse collection of tunes that appeals to a varying range of musical tastes. Listening to the music of The Wade Elliott Band is synonymous to attending a buffet that offers a little something to satisfy everyone's appetite while teasing them to come back for seconds.

A "must have" for any serious music fan!
Being as this is their first album, it's hard to believe this band hasn't hit the scene earlier. All the songs are original, and all have a timeless sound. I highly recommend this album and have no doubt in my mind that there are several "hits" waiting to be discovered such as "Sweet Emily," "Wait," "Listen to Me," and "Autumn." Get this album. One of the best albums I've heard in a long time.
