The Wagon is an up and coming rock band from San Diego,CA, whose unique and various influences ring true and blend together with attitude and style.
Their first major effort, "End of Summer" is a testament to the good times. This E.P. encompasses their range of versatility as a band, with some catchy tunes to boot.
The album kicks off with the Country Anthem "Summer Gold" that is followed by the rock-driven "F U Pay Me", causing mood shifts with no time to spare. The music moves on with the entrancing chants of "Lioness" that bump and groove. "D.U.I" creeps in with lilting petal steel, piano, and a rock climax that leaves everyone singing. Finally, the title track "End of Summer" completes the album with its infectious chorus and rock n' roll melody.
The Wagon will be releasing it's first full length album the summer of this year, so go to www.wagonmusic.com for more info and updates!!!

Don't know how I came upon this e.p. however i am impressed to say the least. I know these cats have played with Mike Watt, Bargain Music, members of Ween, and numorous others. One of my P.R. people came upon this disc and I was listening unaware.
So anywhoo, here I am, in the flesh writing a review. This sampler has it all. reminds me of a new age rocking 'Heads. All over the map, yet makes perfect sense. Don't even bother to pick it up, I'm sure you'll be burning it before you know it. DB.

I am stoked on all the different styles of music. The guitars are so clear and the solos complement the songs. Props to the engineer and the band.

This thing is great. "End of Summer" is my new favorite song. these guys really bring something new to the table. "Fuck you, Pay me" rocks. It's a vessel of power and emotion that leaves the spine twitching. The vocals are great the guitars are crisp. I have told everyone I know to check The Wagon out.
