recorded live at GJ's coffeehouse in tucson, arizona, live @ GJ’s takes all the energy and feel of wahba's studio recordings and fleshes them out into an acoustic coffee shop setting. this record highlights the light, funky stylings of wahba's vocals and acoustic guitar. it also features the full, rhythmic percussion of bandmate, josh gersten, playing djembe, cajon drum, and multiple other hand percussion instruments.

“we are containers” – a word about the cover
wahba describes the three drink containers on the cover of live @ GJ’s as his personal “image statement”. referring to the mason jar as a container he loved to drink from as a child, then a cocktail glass in his younger adulthood, and finally a coffee cup at present. each container has one thing in common – whatever was inside, wahba wanted to drink it! as we mature, we realize that we ourselves are containers (luke 5 calls us wineskins) that carry the gospel of Christ inside.

therefore, wahba personally challenges himself with this question: am I making myself a culturally relatable container in which to present the gospel?
