The Doug Wahlberg Band has been electrifying audiences for years, performing originals most cannot distinguish from main stream radio play. You can expect originals with simple, melodic hooks, some gritty, some laid back but always hypnotic and driving. These tunes will etch their way into your memory. Occasionally a 70’s influence can be detected but with a “renovated” updated feel. The guitar work has been compared to Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Leslie West all rolled into one.

Band members have resumes that boast performances with the unparallel talents of The Doors and Peter Tosh. Doug Wahlberg Band has opened for classic acts such as The Ramones, David Johanson, Cheap Trick and most recently for John Hammond, Mountain and The Guess Who. Doug has worked on projects that included such legends as Rick Derringer, Elton John’s lyricist Bernie Taupin and Bowie’s guitarist and producer Mick Ronson. He has been managed by Lester Chambers of the Chamber Brothers and has even performed at a birthday party for which the guest of honor was Andy Warhol.

Their music has traveled international air waves, had exposure on New York radio stations and has been widely received in the college radio circuit. Members of The Doug Wahlberg Band have performed from coast to coast, as well as internationally, with concentrated club performances in New York City in hot spots like the Bitter End, CBGB, Kenny’s Castaways and the Great Guildersleeves. Recently they played their own brand of rock and roll and bent the blues rules at the Montreal Festiblues blues festival.

LIke this:Yo try get someone to get it...and then they do ,and then you go ..wow they got it..With wahlberg it's more fluid it isnt a sell of tricks or trying to fit a genre...or the music machine flavor of the day boy band or i m too hip to have ice cream with eddy murphy pose or eddy money for that matter..he and his band are naturals.lots of us grew up and played air guitar to hendrix to or a.c. d.c or clapton...but somehow it seems wahlberg magically managed to actually go from tennis racket to guitar and the sounds he heard and then wanted to make came out of his fingers...not an easy task....and its fun... not much work to listen to these ...and after a while the songs feel and sound like you wrote them yourself...or the band ripped em out of your head late at night...who knows wahlberg's got that edgar winter village of the damned white hair thing going on he may have extra powers
