Album Notes

Emerging from many many sessions in the studio comes WAKE, a powerful San Francisco based band best described as a fusion between straight rock and melodic pop. As of now, they do not expect you to have heard much of the band but, with over 200 songs in their catalogue and the dynamic influences and comparisons to Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, Coldplay, and the late Jeff Buckley, we prepare you for the latest buzz of music tomorrow!!!

Wake's Debut CD, Stare Into This, was produced by Academy Award Nominee Ren Klyce (Mariah Carey, 3rd Eye Blind, David Fincher's Seven, Fight Club, and Panic Room), Pete Sears (Jefferson Starship, John Lee Hooker), Paul Stubblebine, and was engineered and mixed by Grammy award winner David Gleeson (3rd Eye Blind, Pink Floyd, and Celine Dion). This project was completed in November at Bayview Studios with all of the songs on the record written by either Will (Lead Vocals and Guitar) or Chris Collins (Backing Vocals and Guitar).

Within a few months of finishing Stare Into This, Wake is already being plugged on San Francisco's Live105 as an up and coming local band and have released a compilation CD of their best, newest music to date that is currently being sold through Tower Records. Aside from continuously writing new material and perfecting their live act by playing out in several local San Francisco venues, Wake has decided to go back into the studio, yet again, and are currently in talks with some very prominent names (not to be disclosed as of yet) in the recording industry to create the final demo, the bonding of dirty rock and pop. Wake as a band house intense talent and creativity allowing them to display the widest variety of sounds in music today. With this in mind, they simply just want to perfect their art and provide you with music how it should be. Stay tuned and hope you enjoy.

Great songs... very cool vibe. Opening track doesn't stand up to the version of the same song that I heard on demodiaries.com, but it's a great tune. Got a handful of hits on here... I'm patting myself on the back for having bought a copy.
