Album Notes

The third CD from the Southern California Celtic band, Wake The Bard. More good-time Irish jigs and reels, as well as drinking songs and beautiful ballads. Features all acoustic instruments: Hammered Dulcimer, Harmonium, Fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and Irish bodhran. Among the highlights are the beautiful vocals of Stephanie Adams.

"The other day before I drove up the hill, I popped my Wake the Bard CD into my car CD player and listened to unbelievably wonderful Irish/Celtic music. It was almost like being in Ireland! Their harmony is fabulous and their dulcimer, guitar, drum and fiddle music is wonderful. Some of their songs, reminded me of listening some great 1960s folk song groups...only better!
What a perfect holiday gift one of their CDs would be for someone who enjoys Celtic music. I tell you, listening to it in the car was almost dangerous for me, because it was all I could do to keep my bands on the steering wheel instead of clapping along with them or doing an Irish jig, which definitely would have been an interesting trick in my car."

Have You Heard?

The other day before I drove up the hill, I popped my Wake the Bard CD into my car CD player and listened to unbelievably wonderful Irish/Celtic music. It was almost like being in Ireland! I purchased the CD at the recent Running Springs Area Chamber of Commerce installation dinner, where the oh-so-talented group entertained everyone for a couple of hours. The group hails from our beautiful Green Valley Lake. Their harmony is fabulous and their dulcimer, guitar, drum and fiddle music is wonderful. Some of their songs, reminded me of listening some great 1960s folk song groups...only better! What a perfect holiday gift one of their CDs would be for someone who enjoys Celtic music. I tell you, listening to it in the car was almost dangerous for me, because it was all I could do to keep my bands on the steering wheel instead of clapping along with them or doing an Irish jig, which definitely would have been an interesting trick in my car.
