Album Notes

Cabin Song is the inspirational, true story of friendship, commitment and courage told in song. When you listen to this collection of David Walburn's music you will appreciate it both for its artistry and its compelling tale of adventure. It is the story of boyhood dreams coming true as David and three friends journey to Alaska. Their mission is to claim and establish a homestead deep in America's last frontier. And they do it. After traveling more than 4,000 miles, hiking over a vast wilderness in search of the perfect site, encountering grizzly bears (both real and imagined) they build their dream cabin with hand tools, hard work and faith. This music was born in a magical place called Windy Creek Homestead

Saw the Montana show at Many Glacier and love that CD (Charlie Russell, Gonna Build a Road, Meat's in the freezer) so we bought the Alska one later. Love the song about outrunning grizzlies. Wish we had seen the Alaska show too, his commentary really brings it alive.

I heard this in a few shops while visiting Glacier. I liked it enough to pick up Montana and Cabin Song. I put them in my cdplayer when I got home (Florida) a month ago and they are playing all the time. Both CD are truly gem's.
