-----------------The Album...
Here it is. The collective infusion of memory. The nostalgic contemplation on the whole thing, written on a beat up old guitar. It is a picture of a man devoid of anger and left with moments. Poetic and original, it is as much the moist and red curtained window to the mind as it is an indepentant film of a life. The band explodes into the "Mr. Freakshow" refrain with a desperate notion of introspection, as it all moves on from there; a declaration of tragic and graceful beauty with contrast and subtlety. This album feels like what the best dreamers see. It is acoustic and electric, full band and solo guitar, sung and sometimes spoken, and subtly familiar but always new. With surprises lurking in the sound, the music is infused with the whisper of life as it emerges hopeful, and exposes the feeling, always the feeling.
-----------------The Songwriter...
Writing songs has always been something that Crazy Jane Records artist, Jack Waldheim, has done. Growing up in Western MA, he began writing songs on a piano his mother bought for him to try. Using words and sound to reflect the life around him, most of "Jane" was written on his old guitar while he was pursuing a B.A. in Literature at Westfield State College, working weekends at a local music store he had been employed at since he was fourteen, and playing guitar in bars and clubs. These songs were sketched from these experiences, and inspired by literature, film, poetics, and the eyes of a man in awe of a world, such as this one is.
After finally finding the time to record his debut album, Jack Waldheim has arrived. Realizing an album that is unlike anything else. Here it is. Be careful with it...

Long Way From G Hall

I can say he's come a long way from strumming his guitar, (which was never far away) in high school. It sounds great. I can't wait to hear more.

Honest, soulful, sincere, sensuous and rock
author: Tom
With lyrics one would expect from an old English Lit Major on the back side of life reminiscing on love discovered, enjoyed and lost. Jack Waldheim has put together a work dripping in honesty, soul, sincerity and sensuality.
Jane will provide you with the urge to get up and move to it's solid rock beat wile at the same time pulling ever so tenderly at your heart strings. A confusing yet soothing duo.
Listen to this work of art with your lover. Rock a bit, think a bit and love alot. Then end the evening in each other arms listening to Retrograde Lullabye. Expect a pleasent evening. This rock CD is as romantic and sensual as the photograph of Holly Jane on the back of Jack's CD cover.

This CD is amazing. It lives in my car CD player...only because it has been up loaded to my computer. The lyrics are poetry, the instruments finely played and the voice incredible. Tarzan Love Song Part 2 was my first favorite, followed by Waltzing Where the World Ends (which is a duet with a very talented female singer) that makes me melt. Each song has cycled through as a fave. This guy is really talented...he's awesome live and i really hope that he keeps coming out with more.
