With the constant, ongoing emergence of singer-songwriters today, it's refreshing to hear an artist who sets himself apart from the rest with such an impeccable, passionate, harmonious voice and entertaining presence. Tanner Walle brings these finely honed skills to the stage as an accomplished and well-established songwriter. Originally from Minneapolis, Kansas (that’s right; Kansas!), Tanner spent his high school years in Phoenix, Arizona on countless stages in theater and performing with his successful band Oddbox. He then returned to the middle of the map to pursue a college degree at the University of Kansas while continuing to perform numerous shows on Lawrence and Kansas City stages. While building his career over the past few years, Tanner has had the opportunity to perform with The Samples, Graham Colton, Pat McGee Band, and numerous good friends from Ari Hest to Marc Broussard, Matt Wertz, and Dave Barnes. With the rapidly growing interest in his unique sound and style, he has decided to pursue a full time career in musical entertainment.
Living in the rich, college culture of Lawrence, Kansas, Tanner finished his first full-length release entitled "It Was" (available on I-Tunes mid-February), which has achieved local, national, and international attention with the recent swell of MySpace hits as well as sales in the U.S., Europe, and Australia. As Lawrence.com proclaimed, “...genuinely hummable hooks and a top-notch band ... decorated with the kind of smooth and breezy pop fare that could cloak the coldest of disses in cuddly jazz chords and debonair falsetto vocals." Tanner’s freshman album expresses a youthful and innocent outlook on the years ahead, which makes this refreshing gust of smooth, contemporary jazz pop entertaining and oh-so-easy on the ears.
In addition to his solo performances, Tanner also performs with the band The Wobbly H every Thursday at the busiest hotspot in town. As this project features predominately funk and soul covers, Tanner’s vocal skills continue to reach new levels in both range and texture, which has brought a great deal of distinction and recognition across the Midwest with his growing fan base. A strong word-of-mouth promotional path among high school and college audiences nation-wide says it's time to take this amazing young artist to the next level. We invite you to take a serious look and listen and are confident you'll immediately fall in love with this sweet, unique sound that is rockin' the 13 to 30 crowd.
Stay tuned, and be looking for Tanner at a venue near you!
