Album Notes

Walter Egan was first famous for the song "Hearts On Fire" which he wrote with Tom Guidera and was recorded by Gram Parsons and Emmy Lou Harris on the LP "Grievous Angel".

He was signed to Columbia Records in 1977 and released "Fundamental Roll", his first LP. It was produced by Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks (as well as himself). They also played and sang on the record. "Not Shy" was released in 1978 and also featured the participation of the Fleetwood Mac luminaries. The million-selling gold record "Magnet and Steel" was the center piece of this record.

Through the years Walter has performed with Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Jules Shear, Wanda Jackson, the band Spirit and Randy and the Rainbows.

Walter continues to write and perform in Nashville Tennesee, as well as pursuing a career as a painter and a sceenwriter.
